Disco came to FARS with an untreated heart condition. We got him the ultrasound needed to diagnose his condition and put him on medication to help him. He was adopted in March 2009.

Ben was in another shelter. He had a broken tooth and a hernia. FARS covered the cost of his treatment and took him into our shelter with his best friend Cooper. Ben and Cooper were adopted together in May.

When Mindy came to us her mouth was badly infected and 5 of her teeth were completely decayed. FARS got her dental surgery to remove the painful teeth and treat the infection. She is now healthy and went home along with her brother Mork in May.

Sinatra is a 13 year old boy who came to FARS as a result of being surrendered by the family of a person who abandoned him. FARS got him emergency surgery one weekend when he began vomiting blood. He is now recovered and was adopted to a loving family in January 2009.

Donating "Wish List" Supplies"

FARS appreciates “in kind” donations for items that we can use to care for the cats in the shelters and foster homes. FARS is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization and donations are tax deductible. Items on our “wish list” include new (un-used) cat toys, cat beds and scratching pads/posts, Feliway refills, paper towel rolls, and store gift cards (PETsMART, Wal-mart, supermarkets, Staples).

“In Kind” donations can be dropped off at the PetSmart Adoption Center with one of our staff members during our adoption hours or mailed to: Feline Adoption & Rescue Society, P.O. Box 2163, Natick, MA 01760.

Link your Shaw's Supermarket Card to FARS

You can support FARS if you shop at Shaw's supermarkets by registering your Shaw's Rewards Card to link with the Feline Adoption & Rescue Society. Once you do this, and shop on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday with your Shaw's Rewards Card, a percentage of your purchases will be donated to help our cats.

When you shop online by starting at the website iGive.com/felineadoptions a percentage of the price for any purchases that you make will be automatically donated to FARS. At this web address you can create an account and select from over 700 brand name stores. The account set up process takes only a few minutes. Once you have the account set up, you can select the store of your choice, which will take you directly to their website. There is no additional cost to you for any items or services you buy.
