Microchipping your cat is a safe and easy way to identify your cat if he or she becomes lost and is found and scanned by an animal control or sheltering agency.
If your cat has a microchip, please make sure you contact the company to ensure your information is up-to-date. Many cats and kittens are killed in shelters across the country because there are no homes available for them.
It is important to remember that when you place a kitten from a litter born in your home, there is one less home available for a kitten in a shelter. If you enjoy the company of kittens or want to witness the miracle of birth, please contact your local shelter to volunteer as a foster home. There are low-cost options available to help you spay or neuter your cat. |
