MDAR Approved Shelter & Rescue Organizations

Spay/Neuter

Spaying or Neutering your cat is the most important way you can help prevent the tragic feline overpopulation problem. Many cats and kittens are killed in shelters across the country because there are no homes available for them.

It is important to remember that when you place a kitten from a litter born in your home, there is one less home available for a kitten in a shelter.

If you enjoy the company of kittens or want to witness the miracle of birth, please contact your local shelter to volunteer as a foster home.

There are low-cost options available to help you spay or neuter your cat.

The following link lists low-cost (and some no-cost) spay/neuter services for cats across Massachusetts
