FARS is dedicated to assisting and supporting cat owners and cat guardians that are enduring a hardship. FARS can help through funding medical care, spay/neuter, food, or fostering in order to keep the feline and family intact. This program is dedicated to Massachusetts only.

With that said we have made a commitment to helping these cats on a statewide level. Since last November FARS has helped 40 cats get the medical assistance an attention that they needed to be able to stay in their homes with those that love them. Since FARS is a small group of dedicated volunteers the FARS board has decided to merge with the Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society (www.mrfrs.org).

FARS will continue as a program of MRFRS and will still hold the same mission statement. This will give the FARS volunteers more time to focus on helping the cats and not having to do so much administrative work.
